I realized I am a very ma fan eater… whenever family members bought food for me they go blur haha…Example:
Bak Chor Mee – Bak Chor Mee - Mee Gia, ai Huam mai yiu (Thin noodles, with chilli no oil)
Ice Kopi/Teh: Kopi C Gao, Siu Dai Peng (with Evaporated milk, thick kopi, less sugar, ice)
Potato chips: Must be thin cut type (unless its those 5-7bucks foreign chips), NO BBQ flavour. BUT if u buy me Jack and Jill I only eat their BBQ flavour. ^_^
Cookies: I only like it when my cookies go soft from humidity. And I cant get those in Aussie, cuz the weather there too dry that even when I tried leaving my cookies out in OPEN for 2 days, it just got crispier -_-
Caramel: I love caramel in coffee. Even in ice coffee where the caramel doesn’t melt, I love it even more cuz I can drink up bits of chewy caramel (like pearls in bubble tea). But I dislike caramel chocolate bar. Thus Mars Bar is a love/hate thing for me. I love the nougat base but hated the caramel top. So I buy and eat the base and throw the top caramel.
Mood Foods: And I can like eating one thing today, and refuse to eat it the next time. I Call it my “mood food”. Sometimes I asked for Apples and grandma will say “Waa today wad lucky day, she looking for apples to eat?” haha
Exam Ritual: NO egg… once I ordered ban mian w/o egg, but auntie still put egg. I rejected the entire thing. Superstitious can!!
But then again I can be a really easy eater in regards to cai fan, I very standard…
Rice
Egg/Tofu dish: steam egg, egg tofu, steam tofu and the likes…
Vege: Bittergourd, long bean or Tau gey (in order of preference)
Meat: Just Chicken – cooked in anyway period! Haha
But I guess there are more Hiong people then me…. Like my mother. She is the classic one. Her bak chor mee must not have spring onion!! She will angry. Her Kopi C = Kopi C, Siu Dai, Sao C (She want coffee with evaporated milk, yet want less of it, in addition to less sugar) *faintz* Seriously if you dun understand the terms you can never order kopi for ppl like us, cuz u cant rem one. Then my bf more classic… his char kuay tiao is less oil, no cockles PLUS extra egg (which he bring himself) hahahahahaha…..
