There she was again, waiting at the lounge sipping wine for the fourth time alone since they have been onboard for the past 2 days. He was busy as usual, and she was lonely as usual...Boss: Hey, let me treat u to a drink (hands gal one long-stem glass that contains something toxic looking. )
Gal: (Looking suspicious...rejects the offer) Just get me another Merlot thanks
Boss: No no try this....
HIM: Boss dun always bully gers.
Boss: Buzz off Bugger U shall get it later
The next few days were as lifeless, with him busy with the studies and meetings again. She wanders alone on board the vast vessel, looking around aimless... but she wasnt alone. There HE was, also an outcasted fella walking around aimlessly on him own during off-duty hours. A few glances and quick smiles were exchange throughout these days and it were the smiles that brought some light into their seemingly dull lifes.
One (another) boring noon, she was shopping in the only boutique/store that the cruise ship has. Picking up a bottle of Anna Sui's Secret Wish that she always wanted and continue to shop. 'Excuse me', glancing up to look at the stranger that was in her way, was HE. Smiling (as usual) "Hi, I always see you around alone... are you alone?"
Gal: Oh no, I am here with my bf but he is always busy with the meetings...
HIM: oh okie.. what's that you have?
Gal: Oh anna sui.
HIM: (gives blur look) er.....
Then they walked abit more around the store and she pointin out stuff and brands that HE nv knew exist. It was all rather cute of him in an innocently manner. The laughter they had, the jokes they shared and sunshine they brought to each others' life in the short span of the next 2 days are starting to have an impact they even they are not aware. "Do you like me?" her question was return with a pained expression that shows that HE do, but given the circumstances it shouldnt have... HE risked it and took her hand giving her another 'best day on the cruise trip'.
Just when HE thought life can never get any better... and HE tot HE had found 'the one'....
Gal: (Spotted her bf from a distance and dropped HIS hands like a hot potato) Bf, my bf is coming over!!
HE: Oh ok...
He felt a pang of sadness and with fought to fight back tears, he let his hands fall back to his side. Back to its lifeless status as he watch her walking back into the arms of the other man.
- Is Love meant to be like this? Which is true love and which is just having a void filled in the absence of the other? I wish HE shall nv feel this way again and be able to find HIS one true love. And the Bf to spend more time taking note of the people around him, or what is lost may never return... -
When you dont feel loved (enough)… you wonder… if its worth it
